This is the first year the championship was decided without a championship game. Season records determined the champion. Edison went undefeated in conference play to claim the title over a 1-loss South Central. Edison originally had a record of 6-0-1 but a weather-shortened tie against Black River was replayed at the end of the season since it had a bearing on the conference championship.
